Fellowship Opportunities
Christina Enroth-Cugell Graduate Research Award
The Christina Enroth-Cugell Graduate Research Award provides funding for tuition and a stipend for PhD graduate students working in a research area of vision or ophthalmology, especially those pursuing a doctoral degree in biomedical engineering. The expected start date is September 1 each year.
Eligibility
Eligible students will be:- A Northwestern PhD student in their third or fourth year
- Conducting PhD in vision or ophthalmology
Both domestic and international students are eligible. Underrepresented minority students are especially encouraged to apply.
Application Contents
- Applicant CV
- One half-page (maximum) description of the PhD project
- One paragraph description of how the funding will expand vision research at Northwestern (e.g., launch or expand a research collaboration in vision, provide preliminary data for a new vision-related grant application, permit an existing investigator to pursue or support a new project in vision)
Application Window
Applications will be accepted annually in the spring.
Awardee Expectations
All awardees are required to attend all the sessions of the NU Advanced Topics in Vision series and are expected to present their research progress every one or two years.
All awardees are required to acknowledge the support from this fellowship in conferences and publications.
